JUNE (!!??!!) // BUJO SETUP

So it’s June. Should I react? Yes. Have I done extremely dramatic reactions in previous times? Most definitely. So today I shan’t. (Is “shan’t” actually a thing or just some kind of “Southern Belle” creation where saying two words was something unheard of?)

Because now that it as turning into a summer month (Can you believe–I forgot I wasn’t reacting. Nevermind.) and the sad leaf-less winter and spring have passed us by, my theme is leaves. Yes, leaves. Kind of boring sounding, but I quite enjoy the monochromatic-ness of it. Perhaps leaves hold more than just chlorophyll. Maybe the entertain a peacefulness as well.

Wow. Science and poetry and we haven’t even seen a picture yet.

I had to move to a new journal for June through December (at least I hope for it to go until December), so the leaf side was on the first page. I added my information on the right in case I happen to leave this in the stall of the bathroom of a gas station in rural Mississippi sometime soon.

This is a very easy theme to do if you’re just starting into bullet journaling. I picked three or four greens (I used the Tombow Dual brush pens) and used the darkest to draw spread-out swirls, and then drew leaves connected and floating around it. So, I had a bit of a faux pas with the font on this page–we were deep within our health book by Michael Pollen and I ended up writing “May” instead of June. So I used a green paint swatch (you know, the one you have laying around) and remedied that mistake.

The calendar page directly follows the same pattern and style (though I did actually remember to write “June”). I filled in the blank spot at the bottom with and abundance of leaves. I had to already fill in just some of the things happing this month. Does anybody else have a June that always just fills up?

For the first weekly log I toned down the amount of leaves and when a bit more simple with one weekly log on each side.

*note* I did make a habit tracker, the photo just escaped me. It is the normal grid layout. (:

AHAH This left page is my feeble efforts at covering my mistakes. I went to do another weekly log but then I realized I had just done one so.. I tried to disguise it and this is what happened. XD On the bottom of the page I put a little box I named “going into July” for random thought or to dos I need to move to the next month.

On the right I made my normal income tracker with various boxes and categories.

I did the exact same weekly log for the third and fourth weeks in June as before. I enjoy having two weeks in one to see a bigger layout of things.

I always have those random two or three days that I have to carry over to the next page, and so here we have the 29th and 30th on the left. Below that I have some to dos and goals boxes and a quote below.

On the right I decided to start “Lyrics of (month)”. Just any lyrics I come up with or ones I remember from other songs that make me thing of the things that happened or are happening in the month. I am excited to read it at the end of June!

And this is where we left it! I hope y’all enjoyed this setup, and stay tuned for *quite* the post coming soon that has to do with mail. Have a lovely day!

Do the leaves look like a intimidating progress to you? Is your June busy? What is your favorite month? Favorite Summer dessert?
